‘Yes For Meck’ campaign raises $1.75M for transit tax push, backed by major Charlotte donors

CHARLOTTE — The group lobbying for the sales tax increase to pass raised $1.75 million through mid-October.

This figure is according to the latest campaign finance report.

The top donors to the Yes for Meck campaign were Atrium Health with $250,000, HNTB with $105,000, and the Charlotte Hornets with $55,000.

Fourteen donors contributed $50,000.
