CENTRAL, S.C. — Authorities say the ex-husband of a police chief in South Carolina has been charged with stalking her.

The State Law Enforcement Division said 44-year-old Marc Matthew Justice was charged Tuesday with first-degree harassment and stalking.
Jail records show Marc Justice was released on bond and ordered not to contact his ex-wife. The records did not indicate if he had a lawyer.
Arrest warrants say Justice caused Central Police Chief Khristy Justice to fear for her life through his words and actions. They did not give details.

Authorities say the harassment went on for nearly three years.
