WALTERBORO, S.C. — A 19-year-old man has been charged with murder in the killings of a couple and their son at a home in a tiny rural South Carolina town.
Colleton County Sheriff's Lt. Tyger Benton said in a statement that Kenneth Chisolm was arrested late Thursday. Benton says more details will be released Friday.
He says more marijuana than are typically needed for personal use was found in the home on U.S. 21 in Ruffin, but investigators haven't determined if drugs were the motive for the shootings.
Authorities say the couple's 9-year-old granddaughter was shot in the leg and is recovering.
Benton says 46-year-old Phillip Miller and 42-year-old Lori Miller were found shot to death in the home and their son 13-year-old Vincent Miller was found dead outside Tuesday.
