BOONE, N.C. — A man's body was found face down in the New River in Boone Sunday afternoon, according to officials.
Investigators said a family was walking in Brookshire Park when they noticed the body around 3 p.m.
There were no signs of foul play, authorities said.
The Boone Police Department is investigating the death and the name of the deceased has not been released.
