Jaclyn joined the WSOC Severe Weather Team in June 2018 and is thrilled to be in Charlotte -- and to be back on the East Coast. A native of Pittsburgh, Jaclyn spent the past few years on the other side of the country at KRNV in Reno, Nevada.
Jaclyn graduated from Mississippi State and Iona College with degrees in meteorology and mass communications. She also served on a FEMA Corps team through AmeriCorps, traveling around the country working on GIS and other disaster management projects.
A self-proclaimed weather geek, Jaclyn is an active member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and of the National Weather Association (NWA) and sits on two NWA committees.
In her spare time, Jaclyn enjoys going for a run and exploring new restaurants, bookstores, and coffee shops. Her camera roll is filled with photos of her pet bunny, her niece, and interesting looking clouds.
