Concord Housing Authority
The Public Housing Program provides subsidized decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly and persons with disabilities.
Community Link helps homeless individuals and families find and keep rental housing and offers assistance to homeowners facing foreclosure. It also provides permanent supportive housing for individuals and families who are chronically homeless and have a disability.

*Crisis Center – Cabarrus
Food pantry and financial assistance available for rent (when faced with eviction), fuel/electricity (must have cut-off notice), life-saving medications, household items, information and referral.
*Salvation Army of Concord
Provides assistance with: rent and utilities (electric, gas, water) to avoid eviction and utility cut-off; HEATCARE funds for heating fuel, gas, propane or kerosene during winter months.
Emergency shelter for homeless for up to 90 days, cold-weather shelter open nightly as needed in extremely cold weather, warming/cooling station as needed seasonally on a daily basis, soup kitchen serving lunch Monday.
Cabarrus County Department of Human Services
Temporary financial assistance for individuals and families based on income eligibility. Includes utility assistance with heating and cooling costs.
*Cooperative Christian Ministry
Provides immediate assistance to members of our community who are experiencing crisis in the areas of food, shelter or finances while engaging them in a series of actions that will empower them to move beyond crisis.

Journey Place Transitional Residence
Provides a transitional residence for young adult males 18-21 who are aging out of foster care and need assistance making the transition from foster care to being an independent adult.
This program assists homeless individuals and families find and keep rental housing.
Program operates in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Davidson, Stanly, Union and Rowan counties. Operating under a Housing First model, our Housing Caseworkers help identify and secure safe, decent, affordable scattered site rental housing in the community.

The mobile pantry program distributes food directly to families in need during large-scale one-day distributions.
CDC; Concord First Assembly
Operates a food pantry, clothing closet and a job training program for Cabarrus County residents in need.
Loaves & Fishes
Provides emergency food to people in crisis for a two or seven day.
Emergency Street Food. Meals Served Daily Monday-Friday.
Cabarrus Baptist Association
Assists families in crisis situations with food and clothing. Open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Operation Breadbasket - First Missionary Baptist Church
An emergency food pantry and clothes closet.
