CHARLOTTE — One person was injured during a house fire on Sunday afternoon in east Charlotte.
The Charlotte Fire Department responded to the fire around 12:30 p.m. at a home on Farmingdale Drive. The house was badly damaged once firefighters arrived, with heavy fire showing.
Two people were inside when the flames broke out, with only one person managing to escape on their own, officials said. Firefighters were able to go into the home and rescue the other person, who they said suffered minor burns.
Investigators said the home was so badly damaged that they could not determine how the fire started.
No other information has been released.
