CHARLOTTE — One person died in a crash in University City Tuesday night, troopers said.
It happened around 10:30 p.m. on Interstate 485 Outer at the North Tryon exit.
The car involved sustained extensive damage, and a large hole was seen in the windshield.
The crash shut down a portion of the roadway.
Channel 9 is asking for more information about the person who died and if anyone will be charged.
