1 shot, killed near west Charlotte park

CHARLOTTE — One person was shot and killed on Wednesday morning in a west Charlotte neighborhood, MEDIC said.

Channel 9 arrived where there was crime scene tape up at Westerly Hills Park along Bristol Drive. It is unclear if the shooting happened in the park.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police detectives are investigating the crime.

No additional details have been made available.
