DAVIDSON, N.C. — Work crews in Davidson have moved a 106-year-old home to make room for a new roundabout near Roosevelt-Wilson Park.
Instead of knocking the house down, officials salvaged it for affordable housing. It’s now relocated a few blocks away, with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlotte restoring the home and finding new owners through its program.
>> In the video at the top of this page, Channel 9′s Anthony Kustura looks at the timeline to get the project done.
