CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — Caldwell County Emergency Services says a 12-year-old drowned in Wilson Creek.
First responders told Channel 9’s Dave Faherty this happened around 4 p.m. Saturday near Craig Creek Road and Brown Mountain Beach Road.
Caldwell County recently alerted people online that swimming isn’t allowed in parts of the creek there.
We’re asking if the child was swimming at the time.
