15-year-old girl missing after leaving Waxhaw home, deputies say

UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Union County sheriff’s deputies are searching a missing 15-year-old girl Monday.

At about 5 a.m. Saturday, Lauren Kaydance Maynard left her home in the 6700 block of Lancaster Highway in Waxhaw, deputies said.

There is no clothing description. Authorities said they don’t know where the girl was heading.
