ALBEMARLE, N.C. — A teenager was arrested in connection with the shooting death of a man in Albemarle, police told Channel 9 Tuesday.
Cordarus Maurice Leake, 28, was shot and killed Sept. 2 while driving on Inger Street in Albemarle.
Police arrested Jimmy Jaquavis Parker, 16, on Monday and charged him with first-degree murder.
Parker was arrested in Cabarrus County and taken to the county jail. He did not receive a bond and will make his next court appearance on Sept. 21.
Parker was then transported to the Stanly County Jail.
