CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two riders were injured Wednesday night after a crew of about 20 ATV riders refused to stop for police on the streets of Charlotte, authorities said.
The initial 911 call came at about 7:45 p.m.
Officers tried to stop the riders, but they refused. There was no pursuit, but CMPD's helicopter followed them.
Two of the four-wheelers collided at Craighead Road and North Tryon Street, police said.
Both drivers were arrested and will be charged.
They suffered minor injuries.
No other details have been released.
