LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. — Two people have been sentenced to federal prison for stealing powerful machine guns, grenade launchers and night vision goggles from a National Guard vault on Nichols Road in Lancaster County.
Austin Ritter will spend more than eight years in prison, and Kimberly Cannon will spend two years behind bars.
A third person, Brandon Polston, will be sentenced on Dec. 14.

Prosecutors say some of the stolen firearms are still missing.
The three pleaded guilty to the federal weapons charges in the summer.
The arrests stemmed from a traffic stop.

Investigators said they saw a gun inside the vehicle. A further search revealed that there were more weapons, including machine guns and military gear, in the vehicle, investigators said.
Some of those items showed markings that indicated they belonged to the South Carolina National Guard Armory.
