CHARLOTTE — The Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners approved incentives on June 16 for Averitt Express’ plans to build a nearly $240 million regional campus in Charlotte.
Averitt will receive a $2.9 million grant over five years for its planned campus at 2124 Shopton Road, board documents show. That matches a five-year grant worth just under $2.9 million awarded to Averitt by Charlotte City Council earlier this month.
