3.2 magnitude earthquake reported in NC mountains

CANTON, N.C. — A 3.2-magnitude earthquake was reported in the western North Carolina mountains early Sunday morning.

The United States Geological Survey reported that the earthquake took place near Canton, North Carolina, which is near Asheville. According to the the USGS website, the earthquake happened just before 6 a.m.
