4 men accused in armed robberies across three counties

MONROE, N.C. — Monroe Police arrested two brothers and two other men in connection with a string of robberies and said more arrests are on the way.

Daquan Timmons, his brother, Detrez Timmons, Issac Long and Jerfrontys Clyburn were arrested for a string of convenience store robberies that happened in Monroe.

Monroe police believe these men could also be connected to other robberies at stores in Lancaster County, Pageland, South Carolina, and in Anson County.

Surveillance cameras captured suspects taking off with more than $1,800 from one store in Pageland.

That robbery happened days after video captured a nearly identical scenario in Anson County.

Police said in nearly all cases, the men covered their faces, pulled out their guns and demanded money and cigarettes.

"There was a bunch of these types of robberies, and they're too similar to not be someone else. So we're working with other agencies and, hopefully, tie these guys to a bunch of these crimes," Pete Havonec said.

The suspects face numerous felony robbery charges. Store clerks say they're relieved the men were arrested.
