MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A 58-year-old man drowned on Lake Norman on the Fourth of July, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say they pulled Leonard Washburn out of the water near Bay Harbour Road in Mooresville. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Detectives are still investigating what happened, but they say there is no evidence of foul play.
