IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — A nearly $5 million project is aimed at easing congestion in Iredell County.
Work begins Friday on a new roundabout at the U.S. 64 and U.S. 21 intersection in Statesville.

Crews will install temporary traffic signals, a process expected to take several weeks to complete.
Overnight road closures are expected, and daytime lane closures are possible on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The project is expected to be complete by fall 2027.
