$8M Mooresville manor makes splash as priciest local home listing

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An expansive manor on the shores of Lake Norman made a splash when it hit the local residential real estate market last week. It registered as the most expensive home listing in the greater Charlotte area at just shy of $8 million. And the home went under contract just days after its listing.

The French Country-style property was listed on Sept. 4 at $7.995 million, making it the priciest single-family residence within Canopy Multiple Listing Service.

The 10,928-square-foot estate in Mooresville, which has a moniker of Grand Lac Chateau, went under contract on Tuesday, said listing agent Josh Tucker.

“I try to never be surprised in this crazy real estate market. I told my seller clients that it could sell immediately or could take a year or longer,” he said. “I think we came on the market at just the right time and were able to immediately find an interested buyer.”
