CHARLOTTE — A long-paused transatlantic route at Charlotte Douglas International Airport is back on the schedule for this upcoming summer.
American Airlines said in a news release that it will resume nonstop service from Charlotte to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport during the summer months, after what will have been a four-year hiatus. American last operated that flight in the summer of 2019 — prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is one of two international routes that American said will relaunch in 2023 at CLT. The other nonstop flight is to Frankfurt Airport in Germany; however, American’s website shows that route is currently in service. It last flew in summer of 2021, American said.
