LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — A furniture fitting manufacturer is expanding in the Charlotte region with an $82 million project.
The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners on Sept. 21 approved a level-four industrial incentive grant for Austria-based Blum to expand and renovate its facility in Stanley.
Blum makes hinges, drawer sliding hardware and cabinet lift systems for kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms.
It received a $375,835 grant to expand its facility at 7733 Old Plank Road. The level-four incentive grant provides a 95% reduction in real estate and personal property taxes for eight years. It is the highest grant level in Lincoln County. Blum will have two years to complete the project.
