Authorities say man found dead in yard of Concord home

CONCORD, N.C. — Authorities are investigating after they say a man was found dead in the front yard of a home in Concord.

Concord police said that 22-year-old Juan Javier Gonzalez of Salisbury was found dead Thursday morning.

Authorities say officers were called to 610 Palmer Avenue SW by someone who said a man was lying unresponsive in the yard. When officers arrived, police say they found Gonzalez, who was apparently shot to death.

Authorities say no arrests have been made in connection with his death at this time.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about Gonzalez's death is asked to contact police.
