CHARLOTTE — Bank of America reclaimed its position as the top-ranked Fortune 500 company in Charlotte, while Albemarle made its appearance for the first time on the closely-watched list.
The latest Fortune 500 list was released this morning, ranking the nation’s largest companies by revenue. It’s put together each year by business magazine Fortune, with the 2023 list marking the 69th edition.
Charlotte-based Bank of America Corp., with $115.05 billion in revenue in its last fiscal year, landed at No. 32 — up from No. 36 last year. It jumped past Mooresville-based Lowe’s Cos. Inc., which ranked at No. 39 this year — down from No. 35 in 2022. That’s based off $97.06 billion in revenue for Lowe’s.
