NEWTON, N.C. — Police are looking for a bank robber who flashed a gun at a teller and took off with cash Thursday afternoon.
The man walked into the Truist-BB&T branch on North Main Avenue, across from the courthouse, at about 3:10 p.m. and was last seen running north on Main Street.

The thief was described as between 6 feet and 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing between 200-220 pounds.
He was wearing a black mask, gloves, hoodie, shoes and blue jeans.
He may have driven away in a gray, four-door Hyundai sedan with a sunroof.
