WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, N.C. — Authorities say a lightning strike knocked a beachgoer unconscious over the weekend at Wrightsville Beach.
It happened Saturday morning while two people were walking near the Shell Island Resort.
According to our partners at the Charlotte Observer, the beachgoer hit by the flash was taken to a hospital.
The other person they were with was also hurt, but we don’t know the extent of their injuries.
