UNION COUNTY, N.C. — A bedding maker is closing its plant in Monroe and laying off 113 people.
Our partners at the Charlotte Observer report the last day for Downlite International is Aug 14.
Downlite makes down, feather and synthetic bedding.
The facility is on Cuthbertson Street, east of Downtown Monroe.
The company Live Comfortably is expected to take over the site.
