CHARLOTTE — A beloved local restaurant has landed on a new list from Reader’s Digest that names “The Best Burger in Every State.” Brooks’ Sandwich House in Charlotte’s NoDa neighborhood represents North Carolina in the feature.
“The cash-only spot has been open since 1973, and it knows how to treat your taste buds, so order as recommended: ‘all the way,’” the publication says. “That means topped with mustard, onions, and a helping of smoky beef chili. But don’t make a weekend trip out of it, as the place is open only Monday through Friday.”
South Carolina’s best burger is found at Grill Marks, with locations in Greenville and Columbia, according to the feature.
