CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — There’s a warning about scammers posing as Publishers Clearing House.
The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office says someone is calling residents claiming they won a huge prize, but they need to pay taxes and fees on it first.
The callers tell the victims to send money through wire transfers, cryptocurrency, and gift cards.
The real Publishers Clearing House will never make you pay money for your prize.
