MORGANTON, N.C. — Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge will tighten its visitation policy beginning Monday, according to The News Herald.

The hospital is also asking that people do not go to the emergency department for a COVID-19 test.

According to the hospital, it will only allow one visitor per patient and allows no visitors if the patient tested positive for COVID-19. All visitors must wear a mask, be at least 18 years old and be in good health.

“If you do not follow these guidelines, for the safety of our patients and staff, you will be escorted out of the building. Full vaccination is recommended,” the release said.

The hospital said special circumstances will be decided by the treating physician and facility leaders.
