Celebrity chef plans restaurant, rooftop bar concepts in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — Award-winning chef and New York restaurateur David Burke will grow his portfolio with two ventures at Le Méridien Charlotte.

The first — SkyBar by David Burke — opens on Aug. 7. That rooftop bar is located at 555 S. McDowell St.

Burke also plans to open RedSalt on the first floor of that hotel this summer.

Those concepts replace rooftop bar City Lights and restaurant Evoke.
