No one hurt in early morning fire at motel in south Charlotte, MEDIC says

CHARLOTTE — Crews from the Charlotte Fire Department responded to a fire at a motel in south Charlotte in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Around 3:45 a.m., CFD responded to the small fire in the 4400 block of South Tryon Street near Interstate 77. MEDIC said it was not responding to the fire.

A Channel 9 crew at the scene saw guests standing outside the motel around 4 a.m.

Firefighters told Channel 9′s Gina Esposito the fire was out and hotel management said guests would be allowed back in the hotel soon.
