GRANVILLE COUNTY, N.C. — A 10-year-old boy lost his mother, father and little sister in a tragic interstate crash.
It happened Saturday around 4 a.m. along I-85 North in Granville County near Durham.
The surviving child is in the hospital and is seriously hurt.
State troopers say the Charlotte family’s SUV hit a parked firetruck. The firetruck had its emergency lights on.
Investigators say Jason and Christina Nye, along with their six-year-old daughter, were found dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
