CHARLOTTE — Kids in Charlotte received free dental care at Truist Field through a program organized by the nonprofit TeamSmile and partner Lincoln Financial.
The event brought approximately $800,000 in dental equipment and supplies to a converted stadium turned temporary on-site dental clinic.
TeamSmile works alongside professional sports organizations, local dentists, dental schools, and community volunteers to provide care for children from underserved areas.
Services offered at the clinic included dental cleanings, cavity fillings, extractions, and routine dental procedures.
The program was closed to the general public, as all participating children were pre-selected before the event.
The clinic ran from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
