Charlotte ranks among Southern Living’s ‘Best Cities’

CHARLOTTE — Southern Living is out with its list of “The South’s Best Cities,” as chosen by the magazine’s readers, and the Carolinas made a strong showing

With three metros on the list, North Carolina fared as well as any other state in the region, which reaches as far north as Virginia and as far west as Arkansas. Tennessee, Georgia and Texas also have three cities on the list. South Carolina has two.

Charlotte comes in at No. 11, with the feature noting the local restaurant scene — mentioning the acclaimed Leah & Louise, in particular — as well as “big-name concerts” and museums.
