Crystal Lagoon The Crystal Lagoon in Balmoral is in Humble, just outside of Houston. It’s the first lagoon of its type in Texas. The water in the Balmoral lagoon ranges from 18 inches to 18 feet deep.

CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte region is already home to a huge man-made lake as well as whitewater rapids. Could a tropical beach resort be next?

That’s the vision of local developer Jake Palillo as outlined in a recent article by Cornelius Today. Palillo told the news outlet that he’s under contract on a total of 270 acres of farmland off Highway 73 in the Huntersville area, with tentative plans for a Crystal Lagoons resort.

According to its website, Crystal Lagoons has developed technology that allows for the creation of lagoons with clear, turquoise waters and white, sandy beaches in any part of the world.
