CHESTER, S.C. — A police chase that started Monday afternoon on the property of Chester High School ended in a crash and the discovery of a semi-automatic rifle, the sheriff’s office tweeted.
A school resource officer tried to pull the car over after it drove the wrong way on campus but the driver sped off before crashing into a home on Pinckney Road.
On 9/20/21, a vehicle was seen going the wrong way on Chester High School property. The SRO tried to conduct a traffic stop. The driver fled & a short chase ensued

Deputies said they found an AR-15 in the car, but that the suspect did not intend to use it on campus.
No injuries were reported.
Deputies have not released any more information.
