Chef Jim Noble opens namesake restaurant in Myers Park

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Chef Jim Noble has quietly opened his namesake restaurant in Myers Park.

The Jimmy is in its soft-opening phase at 2839 Selwyn Ave.

That pastaria and pizzeria is in a roughly 3,600-square-foot space at Selwyn Corners. It was formerly Nolen Kitchen and has been vacant since November 2017.

Noble, owner and executive chef of Noble Food & Pursuits, signed a deal for the Selwyn Avenue space in February 2020, but the pandemic delayed its opening.

This marks the seventh restaurant for that hospitality group. It also operates Rooster’s and Copain in SouthPark and The King’s Kitchen and Rooster’s in uptown. In 2019, Noble Smoke and Bossy Beulah’s opened on Freedom Drive.

The Jimmy aims to be a neighborhood restaurant, drawing inspiration from the trattorias and bistros along the Mediterranean coasts of Italy and France.
