CHESTER COUNTY, N.C. — Chester County is having its first data center workshop Monday night.
Back in July, Chester County Council unanimously approved a 6-month pause on new data center development.
That pause will give leaders time to educate the public about them, including the potential benefits they could bring to the county.
York County leaders passed a similar pause in July, placing a 9-month pause on new data center projects.
And in June, Charlotte City leaders unanimously paused a 150-day moratorium on data centers.
Monday night’s workshop in Chester County begins at 6 p.m.
