Cleanup continues in Myers Park, Dilworth days after severe storms

CHARLOTTE — Severe storms Friday uprooted trees which were scattered across roads and onto cars in the Myers Park neighborhood.

The damage could still be seen three days later as a few residents remain without power.

On Idlewood Circle in Dilworth, heavy winds brought a huge tree down onto a detached garage, killing Jaoquin Portillo-Valle.
