CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department plans to train officers in customer service techniques, in an effort to strengthen relationships between officers and the community following a year of unrest felt around the country. The department has outsourced a customer service specialist to assist them in the training.
Chief Johnny Jennings said the department tailored the program to help change the culture of CMPD in a positive way.
