CHARLOTTE — Mecklenburg County officials are expected to discuss ongoing funding issues with the new Discovery Place Nature Museum near Freedom Park Tuesday night.
County staff says Discovery Place is not able to live up to its agreement and repay the county $14.6 million in construction costs.
The county could allow the museum to open and require Discovery Place pay the money back incrementally, or it could take over the space.
