HICKORY, N.C. — Multiple agencies responded to a propane gas leak in Hickory Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Hickory Fire Department, it all unfolded around 1 p.m. in the 1400 block of 2nd Street Northeast.
Officials say two propane cylinders were overfilled, causing one to leak from a pressure relief valve.
The Catawba County Hazmat Team relieved the pressure though a “controlled burn-off.”
Thankfully, no one was hurt.
