CHARLOTTE — The David & Nicole Tepper Foundation announced a $3.4 million commitment to expand Vision To Learn services across North Carolina and South Carolina.
The multiyear initiative will provide no-cost vision care to elementary and middle school students in Raleigh-Durham and Greenville-Spartanburg, with support from the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC.
The new funding allows Vision To Learn to extend its school-based model into additional communities, offering vision screenings, eye exams and prescription eyeglasses at no cost to students or their families during the school day.
The foundation has supported Vision To Learn in the Carolinas since 2019, committing more than $5.2 million to the organization. The latest expansion builds on a $1.5 million multiyear commitment announced in 2024 that brought resources to Charlotte-Mecklenburg and Charleston Counties. The program now serves four regions across North Carolina and South Carolina.
Program operations in the expanded markets are already underway. Representatives from the David & Tepper Foundation, the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC will join Vision To Learn at two school assembly events later this month in each of the two new regions.
