DAVIDSON, N.C. — Summit Farms in east Davidson could kick off construction this spring.

That 58-acre project is in permit review with Mecklenburg County for site work in the three-phase development, which combines a working farm, commercial space and low-density housing. Infrastructure work is expected to start in April.

From there, work on the village center and anchor tenant Summit Coffee’s roughly 13,000-square-foot building will begin. The goal is to start construction in May, with an early 2026 opening possible, says Brian Helfrich, CEO of Summit Coffee.
