CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte developers that worked together to secure the rezoning for a large industrial park in western Mecklenburg County have each acquired land for the project.
Late last month, entities affiliated with Beacon Partners and Crescent Communities purchased property for Rapid Commerce Park, which is expected to include several buildings and up to nearly 1.8 million square feet of industrial space off Rhyne Road. The developers, combined, bought about 137 acres there for more than $18 million, according to county real estate records.
The land is just off Exit 14 of Interstate 485. Charlotte City Council approved the rezoning for Rapid Commerce Park earlier this year.
