Driver, passenger killed after truck crashes into utility pole in Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police are investigating a weekend crash that left two people dead in Rock Hill.

On Sunday, around 4:30 p.m., Rock Hill police officers responded to the crash scene along India Hook Road.

Police said a white 2008 Chevrolet Silverado drove off the road, through a ditch and struck a utility pole.

The front seat passenger, 47-year-old Larry Hunt Erwin, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 40-year-old Jason Henderson, was taken to Piedmont Medical Center where he died.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
