CHARLOTTE — Queens University of Charlotte now has a new name.
The university announced its intention to merge with Elon University last September.
The school will now be known as Elon University: Queens College.
The campus will remain at its current Myers Park location and largely stay the same. However, there will be new graduate programs.

The merger still has to be signed off by the U.S. Department of Education.
