ANSON COUNTY, N.C. — The Anson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what led up to an incident where a man to shot and killed his son Wednesday morning, authorities said.
Deputies were called just before 2 a.m. to Randall Road in Polkton. They said they found Isaac Peter Thomas dead in the driveway from an apparent gunshot wound.

Deputies arrested his father, Isaac Braswell Thomas who is charged with second-degree murder. Isaac Thomas has been released on a $100,000 bond and will be in court Tuesday.

The sheriff said the investigation is ongoing and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is helping deputies in the case.
